The term "bight" refers to a bend in the shoreline and the wide harbor that results from it. The Key West Historic Seaport's original name was Key West Bight Marina. Hence, "Bight" Before Christmas! You can learn more here: [https://keywestchristmas.org/what_is_a_bight/](https://keywestchristmas.org/what_is_a_bight/)  The 18th Annual Key West "Bight" Before Christmas is sure to be full festive cheer and unforgettable holiday fun. "The Key West 'Harbor Walk of Lights' traditional main features will light up that night, including the 20’ Fishing Buoy Tree, a 16’ Nautical Christmas Tree and the original Key West Lobster Trap Tree." This year's displays will be extra special, as they will pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett. ![407253043_654057290262153_134593161150999257_n](https://www.floridakeys.me/hs-fs/hubfs/407253043_654057290262153_134593161150999257_n.jpg?width=1656&height=1108&name=407253043_654057290262153_134593161150999257_n.jpg) Photo from [https://www.facebook.com/KeyWestChristmas/photos](https://www.facebook.com/KeyWestChristmas/photos)  During the run of the Christmas festival, there are all sorts of exciting activities and attractions planned that will delight guests of all ages.
