Your Guide to Hemingway Days 2022

July 3, 2022

Ernest Hemingway is one of America's most beloved authors. As you probably know, he was also a fixture of the Key West community, living and writing in town from 1931 until late 1939. As such, Key West is the perfect place to celebrate his life and work! Every year, Hemingway fans converge on Key West for Hemingway Days

Hemingway Days 2022 will take place July 19 through 24. This annual celebration salutes the Nobel Prize–winning author’s writing achievements, sporting pursuits, and enjoyment of the island’s easygoing lifestyle. The planned events are as varied as Hemingway's hobbies! Highlights include a Hemingway lookalike contest, a three-day marlin fishing tournament, literary readings, a paddle board race, and much more!

One unmissable event is the Running of the Bulls. Presented by Sloppy Joe's, this wacky event features Ernest Hemingway lookalikes pushing fake bulls. It is so fun to watch!
